Okay, still not up to content. But we are feeling mopey and full of longing to buy dresses we cannot afford. So here's a pretty for you. I would like to buy this and wear it to see Montreal play when the season starts. But it's $795 at Saks. So, um, no. It's Dolce. Like my glasses. Huh.

That's more than twice as much as I've ever spent on a single item of clothing. That's my month's share of the RENT. Dear lord.

I'm trying to think. I bought my prom dresses off a sale rack at Jacobson's in 1987, so, um, no. Last summer I bought a GREAT cocktail dress for my HS reunion that I plan to get more use out of, and that was like $120, and I was a little freaked by that. I don't think I've even paid half of that for any item of clothing, either. I got a coat once for almost $200, I've spent about $230 on a suit before, and I've spent about $200 on a great pair of tall boots on sale.
Nope. I cannot think of a single item of clothing that I've even spent $300 on. I OWN some clothes that at full price would have been more (some Tahari suits I got at TJ Maxx, I think, were $500 full price). But me pay? No way. No, no, no, no.
Unless we count Puppy's hockey skates. Last year they were $500. They are almost clothing, in that they go on his feet.
