A History of *pnish*

May 04, 2007 20:23

Reading [info]lavenderlilly's recent post asking for *pnish* history made me curious, so I went digging. I've put together what I know in a story-esque format, with information on everyone I could get my browser to point me towards. Check it out if it so pleases you, and comment with additions or corrections if you see any that need to be made! ( A History of *pnish* )

I realize that this is a fabulously late comment, but I was looking for Wonder Box pictures and found it just now. A correction: Sano Mizuki is still under Johnny's jimusho. He is the oldest Johnny's Junior, but as far as I know he doesn't participate in any events for the bands. I haven't seen him, anyway, but I certainly can look. Being as that is, he probably would have been forbidden to be an "official" part of any non-Johnny's group... I think. That's a little bit of speculation based on the way their music groups work. There's not a lot of precedence for pure actors in Johnny's. So, he may have been involved with ShiroxKuro but he probably wouldn't have been able to be associated with them in name. Er, I hope that made sense. >.>

This is fencer_x--forgive the RP journal post XD

I think that's what I meant, because I can't even really remember where I saw it (and if it was on a Japanese site, then it's really not clear how much it's based in truth anyways). I know he worked with them a good bit before Wonder Box, too, though--like in Comic Jack--so it's quite possible he used some of his experience in The Biz to get them a leg-up.

And wow, he's still a Junior? Is there no, like, AGE LIMIT or something? He's in his early to mid 30s isn't he?!

Well... I'm digging deeper and I'm afraid I'm not going to have anything concrete until I can read Japanese. What I've gathered literally in the last 10 minutes ( ... )

Oh, and I meant to say that it's totally not unheard of for Johnny's guys to perform in rando stage plays. Ohno does it all the time, I think he does one every year with (apparently) the same people who did Tengumen. Johnny's tries to put the boys all over. Considering that Mizuki doesn't seem AS successful as some people, it's entirely possible that they don't mind him doing somewhat smaller things. It was billed as a leading role, so...
