Sorry for the flood of posts, but I have to vent (and what good is the Internet if I can't make my readers feel bad?). See, I hate looking for places to live, so naturally I do it as little as possible. Because I have to move now, I came up with a plan: find a place that would give me a 12 month lease and not a 4 month one. Simple, right

I'm feeling a bit concerned for you; I do hope you'll be able to manage to find a place in two days. And I mean, it is completely useless to say that, and I feel helpless, but I guess I'm just really hoping you make it through.

Yes, there are worse concerns other than finding a place to live, but fuck, do I ever know how fucking terrifying it is. The thought of being homeless -- even /me/ thinking about it makes my stomach turn. It was bad a year ago, and was a big part of my crash in mental health. My stomach still turns whenever I walk past "for rent" boards.

I really, really, really hope you find whatever luck you need to get a place. Even if perhaps offers from the past are still good; I hope so.. .

It is likely I will have a place. I did not have a fun day today but I think I found something -- it's another four-month sublet, but I will likely take it.

I am also likely being unfair to the would-have-been landlord.

I'm sorry I triggered flashbacks of your housing searches. I know that you have struggled with housing a lot.

I've been using this phrase a lot, but I like it.. be well, Paul. Look forward to keeping in contact with you -- even though I'm so bad at it. But I'm realizing that I really have to make an effort and take initiative for friendships that I want, you know?
