Yesterday we got a new resident.

A 56 y/o woman, hemiplegic after a stroke.

Problem: She is an asylum seeker from Serbia and doesn't speak or understand any german word.

I cannot even imagine her feelings right now.

Communicating is impossible and you are sorrounded by old people with dementia.

Last night i read her file and learned, that her entire family is already transfered to another asylum facility.
In Berlin.
That's almost 500 miles from here.

They found 2 persons in the house who speak her language and these two interpret for her and it's planned to make her cards with the most important phrases in both languages.
