She seemed excited and happy, yes.

Oh, and when the directrix asked whether any of the children were looking forward to school and asked them to name a particular thing they were looking forward to, Amy raised her hand and, when called on, said, "Reading."

And Stella told me she could well believe that that was the one thing Amy was looking forward to most about school: being able to read.
