I feel bad for Clara, because in my world she's been short changed. She'd not been prevalent in the show until season "7" (last season with Matt Smith), and I could hardly stand to watch that season. All the previous seasons had some sort of small commonality thread that linked the episodes together in one large story scheme. The 7th Season was just all over the place and I had a hard time stringing it together, and eventually lost interest and sort of gave up. The newest season, with the new doctor.. what's his name?... Peter Capalidi, yes. Well, I've heard many devoted Who fans say that they are sorely disappointed in him as the Doctor.. so I've not even attempted to watch the new season..

Wait.. now where was I, what were we talking about?... Oh.. Souffles...right? ;)

Its all about Oswn / Oswald. I get the lack of an external plot thread but I think the thread is the relationship between the Doctor and Clara which takes you right up to the point where he regenerate sand even beyond to the first episode when he calls her from the past I have honest cried a few times due to how much it has touched me, impossible.

New series is unmissable, not because of the Doctor but because its allowing Clara to be the central character, there is one episode where he virtually goes on strike and lets her figure it all. The only bad thing is you know it will come to and end someday.

Humm..... Well maybe I'll have to give Season 7 a re-watch, maybe I'll catch something I didn't the first time around, especially since I admittedly kind of gave up half way through. AND... I'll even check the new season out.. though you should know, that if I'm disappointed, I hold you accountable, sir! lol

Love Doctor Who and I thought soufflé girl was brilliant when we first came across her. She definitely has a distinctive look. Unfortunately though I just haven't been able to get into this new doctor series - I even skipped watching a few episodes all together. I know, I know, I'm terrible.

Good to hear from you :)

It's not Clara that's the problem - it's this new doctor. I can't get into him! If it was just the Clara show I'd probably enjoy it more.

I hope that's true!

I don't really watch tv, but my cousins would always pull out the doctor who when they visited grandma's house. I thought of doctor who as an analogy for all the tricks those in power put us through, but in real life there is no doctor only a few citizens who seek truth or understand connections. I saw it as a way the more intelligent amongst us showed patterns in behavior of the wicked for the good to see through and fight for. It is also great entertainment, but my psychosis gets too bad to watch acted scenes; I take it too literally and have to consciously fight my mind to see it as an analogy. the first character crush I had was on the male gel-fling in the dark crystal or with the wizard in the last unicorn. Of course I have other crushes, but I don't watch enough movies or tv to really have a deep passion for celebrities. I know the feeling though, when an attractive member of the opposite sex has a great character, even if a writer created it, it is love at first sight.
