I wouldn't bother with Fahrenheit 451. I remember I read that in ninth grade and while so full of symbolism, I couldn't stand it. The only other thing I retained from that book was that 451*F is when paper spontaneously combusts.

I adored the movie Mathilda. I don't know if I've ever read the book, but I love the story. :D

I like Ray, he wrote the illistrated man, which was made into a movie in the 70's and has that 70's feel to it, but its a great story. im surprised Aurther C Clarke isn't listed as well. I wouldn't read him for years because I had a teacher who made us, and I read really slow and my mother wouldn't buy me the book so I hated the class. But thats another story.
