Not really a review per se, as others have already written in depth about it, but spoilery just the same.

James grew on me the same way that he did on you - not really from his dialogue with Shepard, but from the way he talked to the rest of the crew. So in the end, I liked him, although I really would have liked the option to replace him with one of the squad from ME3. Never got Javik though since I just bought a normal copy of the game. Since I hear he's pretty interesting maybe I'll download him sometime in the future after my sting of irritation over the ending and stripping a character out of the game so they can have day one DLC is less ( ... )

The next in the franchise will be a sim like game, raising a bunch of baby krogan.

Not gonna lie. I would totally buy that game.

Speaking of other games you should be playing... With the legacy system in SW:TOR when you get to a certain level you can give your characters a surname that ends up being the surname of all the characters you make on that server. I chose Kor-vas, because I like to think that my asshole exile ended up knocking up lots and lots of farmgirls. Then because Rose and Kos made me, I made a Jedi Knight in SW:TOR and called him Nico. With the arrogant and asshole darkside options, he plays remarkably similar to the way I imagined him in my head. It's hilarious.

Come play with us...

Will have to talk to the boyfriend, as it's his pc. I don't think a trial will be a hard sell.

I believe Zaeed died in my game because I failed at getting his loyalty in the second? I've heard that characters can live/die based on ME2 loyalty, like that big cut scene for Grunt for example.

I don't think the ending is as bad as the internet community is making it out to be, but I can see why they're upset with it. I would've liked a little more clarity or closure. I like to pretend the old man storyteller is Kaidan or Joker or another old as dirt party member.

Yeah. I don't have the gusto to start all the way back at the first game, but I am replaying 2 and tweaking things for curiosity's sake. Nabbed Zaeed's loyalty by killing Vido, but was miffed that no matter what I did, Rana lives during the Okeer mission.

I agree with you on most of these points... But I had no idea Zaeed could die! I mean, yeah, sure, ok, the loyalty thing, but as it turns out, Zaeed was the character from ME2 I was disproportionally happy to see in ME3. In my head, it just feels as if Shepard had a strong impact on his life (not that he's admit it) but I connected more with him than, say, Jacob. And I love my grumpy old men. Besides, Mordin and Thane hit hard enough as it is, I think I would've lost it too if Zaeed had died on me... T_T

Yeah, it's kind of a VERY DICK-Y move (ha ha, dick move, indeed). It's like they treated his romance in ME2 as more of a sex encounter thing rather than a real romantic relationship. I really don't know how to take that; did they simply wrote him terribly carelessly, or didn't care themselves, or didn't know what to do with the character, or wanted to imply that he's some sort of womanizer..? Miranda doesn't make it to your team in ME3 and that didn't require them to come up with some BS excuse out of nowhere...

I have finally joined the ME3 finalists group.

The salarians definitely have a point about the krogan and I told the dalatrass as much to her face. But I still ended up curing it for a number of reasons. The fact that we needed the krogan for the war was definitely a big one but I also wasn't going to betray a friend like Wrex that easily. Also important was that I fundamentally agreed with Wiks (the not-Mordin) on the premise that all species deserve a chance to try for their own fate on their own terms, which is also why I saved the geth and rescued the rachni queen a second time around, despite my better judgment in both cases.

I was really satisfied with the love interests or rather the Tali romance, which is the one I imported. I can't speak to the others, though I've heard nothing but praise for Liara and Garrus (who seem to occupy a triumvirate of fan favorites along with Tali). I was a little disappointed that more fallout didn't result from my Shepard leaving Ash for Tali, but that's a minor complaint, nothing more. In the ( ... )

I haven't thought about which game is my favorite in the trilogy. I've been replaying 2 recently very differently than I tend to just to see if it alters anything. I haven't replayed the first in forever.
