The only warning Tony got before the threatened blow was a sudden blaze of blue light in the otherwise pretty normal hallway he'd stopped in to answer his messages. He'd managed one entire step back before another boy solidified and promptly punched him in the face, sending the visor spinning off down the hall and Tony to the floor.

"Okay, number one: ow," he managed, foregoing standing up in order to check his nose wasn't broken or anything - he hadn't really been in many fights. That was what you were meant to do when someone punched you, right? He remembered Happy mentioning it a few times, "And two: when you said you had 'other ways', I didn't think you meant magic. Kinda expected a little more warning than that." It was always magic, actually. He was really starting to hate it. "Why did you hit me, again?"

Billy would have answered if his head didn't decided to take that moment to spin suddenly. His eye sight blurred, and went dark for a second before he had to hold onto the wall. He took a few deep breaths and tried not to empty his stomach on the floor. He wanted to hit the guy again, just for good measure, but he didn't think he'd be very threatening after he threw up on his shoes. He closed his eyes for a moment, and then reopened them. Blinking away the last traces of magic that might have remained ( ... )

Tony blinked at the sudden barrage of accusations, and again at the weird sparks of blue. Right. This guy was clearly a few wires short of a circuit board. Prison? He'd never seen this guy in his life.

"Hey, Whiplash didn't deserve to die and I'm really sorry about that, but I wouldn't say he was a good man," He failed to keep the indignation out of his voice, or hide the guilt for that entire fiasco, but kept going regardless, "He tried to kill me first. And I have no idea what this prison thing is you're talking about." Tony paused, and frowned, derailed by the fact that his attacker was looking more and more like he was about to pass out. "... Uh, are you okay?"

"What do I care about some lame two bit villain? I'm talking about Captain America! The man you paraded around on his way to trial. A man who died trying to save innocent lives, even when YOU wanted to send him to prison for trying to fight for our rights!" Billy couldn't believe what he was hearing. Tony though he'd care about some lame super villain? That was just ridiculous! He shook his head, which was probably a bad idea because his vision started to darken again.

"The Prison, 42. You and Reed Richards, and Hank Pym. It was your glorious idea to hold all the heroes who didn't want to become Government slaves there. Outside our own dimension." He blinked open his eyes, which he hadn't realized he had closed, and narrowed his eyes at the kid.

"Don't pretend to even care about me! I don't know what game you're playing, but I don't need to hear your fake sympathy!" He closed his eyes again and started to mumble under his breath. "And to think, you were once my hero..."
