"Hello--Oh! Hello, Mr. Valentine." He said, looking surprised. He smiled. "Thank you again for letting me have the bed last night...I er, apologize that you ended up... where did you end up sleeping?"

He didn't even have to act that part out, really. The guy wasn't very impressive. Sure, Alucard himself was a pretty skinny fucker, but at least he had an aura about him, something that pretty much said fuck with me and I eat your goddamn brother. But this Clark kid? Nothing. Just a skinny little fuck with glasses.
Jan would have no problem.
"Yeah," he finally said, as if he'd come to some final judgment and found Clark wanting. "Don't you worry your pretty little head about that, 'cause it ain't fuckin' happening again."

He took a hasty step backwards into the room, as if realizing he was blocking the doorway. He knocked into the dresser as he did so, sending a couple of books he'd set there earlier falling to the ground.
"Er--"
He looked back at Jan. Oh, not this again. Not that Clark wasn't flexible, but really...the bed was gigantic.
"Well I... suppose that's fair." He said after a moment.

And he did, really.
Or at least he would shortly. Maybe he could even manage to get Clark to move out altogether, wouldn't that be fucking sweet? But his brother would have told him to focus on matters at hand, so Jan dragged his attention back to the issue again.
"Course it's fuckin' fair!" Jan aimed a wide, lazy grin at the man as he passed him. "Des this look like the sorta face that would try an' cheat you?"
Trick question, of course. A yes and Jan had every reason to get pissed -- and start a fight, he hoped -- and no, and he'd as good as won!
Jan moved to the bed and sprawled himself out across it, turning a sardonic gold stare onto his roommate. Life was good sometimes.

"I certainly wasn't implying anything about your character." He said, an apprehensive half-smile on his a face.
As his roommate sprawled himself on the bed, Clark scratched his chin idly and chewed on his lower lip, as if trying to work up the courage to say something.
"And then we'll switch back tomorrow?" Where on Earth he was supposed to sleep in the meantime was another question. He sighed internally.
