Muraki never felt guilt for anything he did, but if he never washed away the pollution of his crimes, he'd never be able to fall further and continue the cycle that would hopefully lead to him obtaining the power to achieve his goal of restoring the dead. Saki's head was lost to him now, but he would get it back some day. Or he would go home, where it would hopefully still be intact.

He came to the church on his break from working in the infirmary and quietly made his way to the confession booth. Hopefully whoever was there to listen would still maintain the sanctity priests had kept on Earth.

Esther made sure that the confession booth earlier was free of any listening devices, cameras, or anything that would violate the sanctity of confession. She even had one of the scientists make the booth sound-proof so no one can eavesdrop from outside.

The young sister slid open the screened window when she heard someone enter. "Hello my child," she uttered with practiced grace, "you may begin."

Muraki took a slow breath and carefully thought of his words as the screen slid open. He wouldn't lie, but an error of omission was minor and admitting to murder wasn't something he trusted the women to keep secret.

"I have not confessed since my arrival, sister. While here, I have befriended many people only to use them for my own gain and hurt them, sometimes seriously, once they've served their purpose. One was a child." He sounded remorseful; the voice was one he'd had years to perfect and many occasions to practice. There was no reason it shouldn't be believed unless someone could read his emotions.

Esther was a trusting woman. She had no reason to think anyone would be less than genuine in the confession booth. Muraki's words sounded remorseful and he did take the time to come to confession.

"Do you understand the nature of your sins? Have you made amends with those you sinned against?" The first step of all good confession was acknowledgment of the sins and repentance.

Bobby was having a hard time lately, thinking about anything that didn't remind him of one friend or another. As he wondered the halls, patrolling or whatever, he spotted the chapel. He remembered watching Kurt fuss for hours in their own Catholic Church set up, back in California. But he hadn't been in past the door way. He always felt nothing when it came to religion, possibly because most people thought his kind were damned anyways.

So when he found himself setting into the church, he let his guard completely drop. He spotted the sister and smiled calmly at her.

"You know, I haven't been inside a church since I was a kid. Even with a best friend who ran the one back home." His smile brightened a bit as he thought of Kurt. Some of his friends he missed horribly. "I think he'd like this place. You've done an awesome job Sister...?"

He realized at that moment, he didn't even know her name.

Esther was a little put off that Booby didn't know her name since she's been on the ship for a while now. However, it was to be expected since she spends most of her time running the church.

"Its Sister Esther Blanchett," she informed him cheerfully. It wouldn't do any good to be gloomy anyways. "Your friend ran a church too? Is he a clergyman too?" inquired the sister. She didn't bother ask about why he hasn't been in a church since Bobby was a kid. Everyone has their own beliefs and their own path to God. Who was she to question something so personal as a person's path in life.

"A priest actually. Took it very seriously, and he loved it." He looked around at the church, noticing just slightly how it seemed to bother her about the name thing. "Sorry Sister. I don't pay much attention to religion. You see, back home... most of the religious groups thought I, along with my race, were bound to hell. Have to say, some of us are. In ever sense of the word."

He turned to her with a completely serious expression. "My friend Kurt, the priest. He's the son of a devil." So it wasn't completely true. Azazel was a demon sure, but he wasn't one from hell. He was a mutant who just happened to have a demonic personality. But really? They were no different to Bobby.

Esther gave Bobby a look of surprise. "Your friend is a priest and the son of a devil? I know a priest who is a vampire." Well, that wasn't completely true since Father Nightroad was a special type of creature. He wasn't a Methuselah but he did have vampiric abilities when he needed to use them.

She shrugged off the talk about people being bound to Hell because of their race. The sister spoke softly the next part. "People should not judge others and say that a group of people are going to Hell. We are flawed beings. None of us should think we can understand the will of God. Only He can judge us and He judges us because He loves us. Hell is a fate for those who forget what God strives of us. He wants us to love each other for we are His children."
