Integral had found herself wondering exactly how her feline guest would alert her to his presence upon arrival. This wondering left her loitering near the door. Well, more like pacing about near it. It also occurred to her that despite the many, many strange things she's seen and done, conversing with an animal would be a first. A scratch at the door and a little mewling drew Integral from her thoughts. A hand reached to open the door, but she paused to take a deep, calming breath.

The door was opened and blue eyes peered down quizzically at the kitten. "Won't you come in," spoke she just as she would with a human-sized visitor. It was odd how tiny and cute he was. Adorable as small creatures were, Integral preferred a massive black hound. Maybe she was simply biased.

Palpatine had actually seen Alucard in his dog form -- but he didn't realize it hadn't been part of the nightmare he'd been having!

He rubbed against Integral's legs by way of friendly feline greeting as he entered the room. "Good day," he said cheerfully, glancing around at the spacious cabin. It looked even that much bigger to him now that he was so small. He was probably big enough to jump onto the bed, but he climbed up the side of it instead, using his wee claws to propel himself up the bedspread.

It didn't occur to him that Integral might not want a cat on her bed.

The talking was a something she found queer. Animals shouldn't speak, but strange things seemed to be common place here. It wasn't as though Integral was going to show any sign of shock or surprise, she simply wouldn't allow it. If Palpatine hadn't been a small kitten, he would've found himself well and fully chastised for his audacity. However, she could forgive it this one time. Integral took a seat in the chair, leaving the bed space for her tiny guest.

Of course the severe look despite the pleasant greeting showed through. And the lack of approximately two feet of hair would be noticeable as well. What once had been nearly to her knees was now barely shoulder length. "Very kind of you to visit on such short notice. I do appreciate the company," Integral murmured.

Palpatine already knew Integral was in a foul mood (to say the least), so any stern looks directed his way were chalked up to that.

"No matter, I'm always happy to see you, Sir!" He fixed his wee kitten eyes on Integral curiously. If he didn't know better he would think Integral had chopped her beautiful long hair off. "Are you... is your hair tied back? I didn't realize you had layers."

There came the violent twitch of an eye at Palpatine's inquiring. Integral's hands clenched into fists on her lap. It didn't take any sort of superb deductive skillsto realize that was a sore subject. "Someone," she hissed, drawing out each syllable carefully, "cut it off." An unmistakeable, almost tangible fury dripped from that short sentence. "Sasan was able to fix the trainwreck that it was into something... tolerable." It wasn't to say Sasan's cut of her hair was displeasing. It was more that Integral had very carefully grown her hair since childhood. Having it taken felt somewhat like a sort of personal violation.

The kitten gasped. "Against your will? However did they do that? How horrid!" Palpatine was a vain man (which translated well into his new feline state), so he could truly sympathize with Integral's loss. And he wouldn't dream of placating her with 'it's just hair!' either -- she had had such stunningly beautiful long hair.
