DATE: Day 55, afternoon CHARACTER(S): Muraki/nagasakivampire and Schuldich/tabooandunkind STATUS: Complete! SUMMARY: You can't lie to a man who can read your mind LOCATION: Cafeteria
He swallowed a little more tea as it cooled down, then picked at the fake egg omelette on the plate in front of him. Muraki understood the logistics behind not having any meat on board, but not having real eggs almost made him sad. Almost.
When someone spoke to him, he looked up, adjusted his glasses without realizing that it made the light glint off of them, and smiled politely. "I don't mind company. Eating alone all the time gets boring." The words made him remember taking Tsuzuki to Kokakuro despite Oriya's protests and his lips faintly curled up into a smile.
He'd miss plenty of things, including the ever-present reminder that there were no cigarettes to smoke when he wanted the ritual and the chance to further clear his mind. Muraki was a human like any other, after all.
Schuldich's remark about eggs forced that semi-genuine smile to stay on his face for another moment. "There's really no space for chickens here, but that doesn't mean we can't think about the food we used to enjoy at home. And sharing meals with others is important."
