He arrived shortly after the announcement went out. "Hello...Mr. President," he greeted Zaphod charmingly, having forgotten his actual name. "So kind of you to invite us in for drinks. I'm Chancellor Palpatine." He usually didn't include his former title, but he didn't want this possibly important person thinking he was nothing but a kitchenworker, a mere peon.
Zaphod's other-worldly appearance didn't phase him the way it might others -- his own universe was quite a mixture of other sentient species besides humans, after all.

He'd been told to show up at Room 108, and to his surprise he hadn't been the first to arrive. Zaphod was, well, different than he'd expected, and the other man was someone else he hadn't met. Reno shot both men a nod and introduced himself- he hadn't included that he was on the police squad, but he'd have some explaining to do if that came up.
"Hey Prez, where's the booze?"
Reno knew he needed to get out and meet more of the people on this ship, and this would be the perfect time.

"Yeah," he agreed, with the head not currently gasping at the taste of the drink, "I am a pretty hoopy guy, great of you to notice." One arm uncrossed itself, gestured invitingly to the impromptu bowl he'd found for the toxic looking liquid. A few glasses littered the table next to it. A few probably clean glasses.
And then the appearance of another, which Zaphod noted with another simultaneous sip and grin.
"Right over there, monkey man," he announced, pointing with the hand he'd used to gesture with. His words were already starting to slur a little.

That was kind of really important.
But in the meantime, she figured she'd work on distracting herself and getting rid of the boredom in any way she could.
So when she saw something on the messageboards about drinks, Haruko thought she'd check it out. Initially thinking it had something to do with that little guy who really loved his fruit in more ways than just one, Haruko parked her motorbike - she also had to work on getting a vespa like her old one. She missed that thing - somewhere close enough to the room where this all was happening before bursting in the door.
"HEY," Haruko announced her arrival after opening the door, then quickly shutting it behind her and making a beeline for the - She stopped her tracks and stared at it. "What is that stuff?" Haruko jabbed a finger at it before asking her ( ... )

He didn't scrutinize the glasses too closely, choosing the cleanest-looking one and serving himself some of the potent liquid. He sipped it as he walked away from the table, his face puckering a little at the extra sour taste. He nodded appreciatively. "Not bad," he commended Zaphod.
Oh Force - was Haruko going to partake of this as well? He'd better get sloshed fast. He took another swig.
