Reiri was finishing preparing an examination table when she heard Sophie enter the infirmary. The first thing that caught the vampire's attention was the red hair. The second was the smell. It was the unmistakable smell of conception.

The vampire wondered if the young lady knew of her condition. She doubted it since Sophie didn't say anything about being pregnant on the messageboard. In fact, she said that she probably had a stomach flu or something. A giddy thought came to the medic and Reiri decided to see how far she could take this.

"Welcome to the infirmary. May I help you? I am Kamura Reiri, head medic of this ship. Please, just call me Reiri," announced the vampire to the redhead.

"Hello Reiri," Sophie replied with a kind smile. "It's nice to meet you in person. I'm Sophie Jenkins."

She felt a little odd standing there before the stranger. She seemed nice enough from the conversations they had had through the strange devices they were given, but it was still strange. "I was hoping I could get some medicine for nausea."

The vampire returned the smile with one of her own. "Pleasure to meet you, Miss Jenkins."

Reiri pursed her lips and took a stance of observation. Tilting her head slightly, the medic replied, "I like to give you a physical before I give you some medicine. We wouldn't want you to be coming down with something severe and all I do is give you anti-nausea medication!"

Putting on a look of pure sincerity, the vampire added, "Unless you rather have some other medic look at you."

Sophie nodded and inwardly sighed. She figured a physical would be required, especially since this was her first medical visit.

"No, that's quite alright," she agreed. "I thought you might say something like that. A physical is fine if that is what you feel is necessary."
