Truthfully, Yuuta had already forgotten the reason he was meeting with Hisoka in the first place. Not because he was forgetful, really, just that he didn't think it was all that important to really talk about Muraki-senpai. Hisoka was his friend so they could just do something else, right? Like card tricks. Yuuta still had that deck he swiped a while ago... Oh but he forgot them! Yuuta spun in place, about to go back to his room when he realized that he was already at the media center.

Well drat. He was too lazy now.

So he wandered inside to search out his rather cranky/serious/in-need-of-many-pokes-in-the-face friend.

"Hisoooka~" He said in the quietest sing-song voice he could manage.

Hisoka startled out of his distraction, looking up as his name was practically sang out in a not-quite sotto voce. Why he'd expected any different from someone like that, he wasn't sure, but it was an odd dissonance with the situation at hand. He seemed so happy and carefree, legitimately so.

"Ah, Yuuta-san," the blond murmured almost like he was surprised and maybe he was, turning on the other (presumable) teenager. Though he remained disconcerted by the recent turns of events, lips pressed into a frown. He still hadn't planned how he was going to explain this without giving himself away, to tell someone else he was a shinigami was reckless when he'd been chiding Watari of that exact thing. "I..."

Then again, he had something just as convincing indelibly impressed upon him.

Yuuta bounced in place, beaming at Hisoka as though he were the coolest thing in the universe. And for the moment, he sort of was. Yuuta had the strange habit of giving all of his attention and adoration to a single moment and then switching his attention in the next. Perhaps it helped that Hisoka was a very cute person and Yuuta appreciated cute things and people.

"You~?" He shifted his weight from foot to foot, then stood still when he realized he was fidgeting too much. It was a bad thing to do, fidgeting, and it only made people around you nervous. "You what?"

Yuuta was moving and shifting and beaming at him like this wasn't serious. It wasn't often that Hisoka had the urge to protect someone else, particularly not a stranger, but this kid was just so blatantly an innocent that it almost hurt. It would be so easy for Muraki to torment someone like that, to take down with an only ineffectual struggles that never amounted to anything and screams that would never ever bring help.

"I wanted to warn you about Muraki," he said when he finally found his voice, deathly serious in sharp counterpoint to the cheerfulness the other exhibited. His fingers dug into sleeve of his jacket, twisting in the fabric. He wasn't meeting the Yuuta's eyes, not now. "You shouldn't go around him; it isn't safe for you."

Oh no, Yuuta didn't like it when Hisoka made that face, not at all. And what he said about Muraki-senpai... Yuuta didn't understand what Hisoka meant, but he looked so sad that Yuuta wanted to promise him absolutely anything to make him happy.

"But," He tilted his head and bent forward at the waist, trying to peek at Hisoka's expression. "How come?" He straightened again and clasped his hands behind his back. "I'm around him lots and it's always been okay, you know?" The boy smiled, trying to reassure Hisoka that it was fine. "He's not mean to me or anything and once he got me pudding and so it's really okay!"
