It wasn't long before those awaited footsteps sounded, perhaps a fraction heavier than usual. Integra was always a punctual woman. As she made her way toward the room, a sliver of apprehension grew. Only a few short moments had passed since she watched Alucard vanish from existence and then she ended up here. Those few short moments were devastating. It was enough that she'd been so relieved to find him here that she'd admitted as much.

Before the door Integra stopped, shaking her head to expel her ridiculous thoughts. Alucard was always the same. Thirty years, a hundred year could pass and he'd still be the same. As long as she lived, he would be bound to the Hellsing family. That is the only thing that mattered, she told herself. At length, the woman finally rapped her knuckles against the door; three short, curt knocks. Above everything else, she was curious what Alucard had to say that could only be done in person.

Instead of making Integra open the door himself, Alucard was already at the door and waiting. He'd been there the moment her footsteps sounded, and now that she was here, he almost hesitated to see her again. Hesitations and worries would serve him naught; he opened the door at her third knock.

"My master," he said, looking at her- no, drinking her in. It was odd to see her so young, with her skin unlined and her gaze not weighted with the knowledge of the end of her line. "Come in." He stepped away from the door, waited for her to enter, and then moved to close and lock the door behind him. His hat was slung over the camera in their room, his coat on its hook and his guns and glasses on the room's desk. He half wanted to put everything on again, just so they'd have a barrier of some sort.

Realizing he was staring at her, he motioned to the room. "Take a seat if you wish; the bed or the chair serve just as well."

It was almost odd to see him without the coat, the hat, and the sunglasses. In the decade she'd known him, rarely had Integra seen him without them. Whatever fleeting surprise she felt was gone quickly, any trace of it well-hidden beneath her collected façade. "Alucard," greeted she with a nod. Only a few hours, if that, since he'd disappeared before her eyes. It felt much longer than that. His constant presence had grown into something she expected over the years; something she took for granted would always be there.

Integra stepped into the room, casting a quick glance around. It seemed similar to her own room, completely spartan and efficient. The weight of Alucard's unmasked stare caused her to look back to him, just as he spoke again. "What is it you wanted to tell me," Integra pressed. As for that proffered seat? She took the chair. It just seemed a bit too personal to sit on another's bed.

He waited to speak again until she had seated herself. "First things first, my master." He flashed her a smile with a hint of fang, testing how tightly she held his leash right now. It always seemed to depend on her mood more than the circumstances (though it would have been an issue in another woman, his master was so supremely cool most of the time that it only served as another of her assets). Her choice of the chair scarcely surprised him- he was already turning to curl onto the bed when she spoke.

"Do you know that there is a... hunt, of sorts, onboard? For those who have unique abilities, those who aren't... human. They wish to experiment on them." He hoped to express the climate on the ship discretely. If he was lucky, his master would already have figured this out. (He wasn't sure how she would have, though- it was one of the unspoken rules on the ship, really.)
