Tony was always up for a really good party, and though he wasn't about to go head for the bar, he was going to go to the party, and have a good time. Thankfully, after his scuffle with his roommate, Extremis had gone to work, healing his wounds overnight, and really, Norman's punches and the like had only actually left bruises.
He'd been through much worse.
He had spruced up well, too. He had managed to find a good, formal suit, black, of course, and there had even been a red tie. He had grinned just enough with a childlike glee before getting ready, and stepping into the ballroom.
He inspected the décor for a moment before nodding with approval. Apparently Bruce Wayne did know how to throw a party.

It was convenient that Tony should be one of the first ones there, just when Bruce wanted to talk to him. He smiled and was about to start over, but paused. He placed the glass of wine he'd been holding down on one of the tables and quickly replaced it with two glasses of punch. He was pretty sure Tony wouldn't mind if Bruce drank, but why take the chance?
He held out one of the glasses toward Tony as he neared, offering an easy smile.
"Punch?" was his greeting, and he took a small sip from his own glass as he came to a stop.
Tony grinned at Bruce, nodding in thanks of the gesture. He really didn't mind if others drank around him anymore. When he'd first been trying to break the habit, it had been alot more difficult, but if he could survive the entire fiasco with the SHRA without taking a drink, being stuck on a spaceship and being punched by a very normal Norman Osborn wasn't quite enough to drive him back to the drink.
He accepted the drink, and took a small sip, before offering his right hand to Bruce in greeting. "Nice to meet you face-to-face, Bruce," Tony said easily.

Bruce shifted his glass from one hand to the other before offering out his right for a shake.
"Likewise," he said with a nod and a firm grip. And then, grinning just slightly, he cast a look around the room, cocked a brow, and looked back to Tony again. "Did I forget anything?" It was, after all, always best to check one's party decor with another veteran party-goer.
He doesn't know anything about the person this party is being held for, but who could refuse the chance to get alcohol for the first time since he came on the ship? Yukimura seems happier than he has on board as he walks in and tries to make sense of the decorations. From the people he can see, his outfit seems a bit out of place, but he'd splurged to get something made similar to what he was fond of at home.
For a moment, he's not sure where to begin with his plan of drinking, then notices where people seem to be congregating in the middle of the room and orders himself sake. The look on his face when he drinks it is almost obscenely happy
Clark had only just gotten there, deciding there was no harm in stopping in--particularly after Bruce's urgings. Not that there was much to be reported up here, but there was no harm in being social. Meek reporter or not.
Before going over to say hello to Bruce, however, he thought he'd go say hello to the birthday boy himself first. He wasn't sure they'd ever actually spoken, but now was as good a time as any to change that. He pushed up his glasses, smiling nervously as was befitting of any timid man.
Clark nodded, the awkwardness in his smile ebbing slightly. "Bruce has always been one for throwing parties. I'm sure he was thrilled for the opportunity." He glanced over at the man in question, who was across the room talking to Tony Stark.
"There are, ah, worse things to come back to, I suppose." He added, looking back at Joshua. "I hope things are, well, uh, I hope you're doing a bit better, I guess is what I'm getting at." He stumbled over his words a bit awkwardly. "...Strictly off-the-record, of course." He decided to add. He wasn't really here to do much reporting.
Sue decided that she should at least stop by the birthday party for Josh and wish him a happy one. She arrived quite earlier than most of the other people. Since she really didn't love attending parties, the blonde just stopped near the food tables and looked for the silver-haired boy.

Mara hadn't really wanted to attend the party, but as the ship's captain, she was starting to get a feeling that she was more of a politician than a proper Captain, but maybe that had been something Karrde had been trying to teach her.
She had gotten a bit more diplomatic, but not enough to really constitute running the New Republic, or anything like that.
She showed up to the party in an outfit that was slinky, but classy, and very simple. She really just wanted to say hello to the birthday boy, have a drink, and then leave. Really, but Joshua looked a little busy, so she instead headed over towards the food, and smiled at her new assistant. "Sue, nice to see at least one pleasant familiar face at the party," she said, shooting a nervous, but dark glare in the direction of Palpatine, before shrugging it off.
Susan turned and smiled back. "Captain Jade, it's good to see you outside of the command center. That is a lovely outfit you have on."
It was good to see Mara at the party but it reminded Sue that both of them are figureheads on this ship. It always seemed to be the case with the blonde. On Earth, Reed immediately threw the Fantastic Four into the spotlight. A part of her guessed that he did it to make the rest of the team not feel like they were freaks but it does strain a person to always be diplomatic when in public.
Mara smiled at Sue. "Thanks, yours is good looking yourself," she added. Ugh. Sometimes she hated this chatter, but she did genuinely like Sue. The woman knew what had to be done, and worked hard. Mara admired that in a subordinate. That sort of attitude was what Karrde had seen in her.
Mara looked around the room, and took a small slice of a strange vegetable and took a small bite. "So Sue, tell me about yourself, we haven't had much opportunity to get to know each other with the repairs to the ship," she asked.

Palpatine did so enjoy a good party! He was thrilled to learn that Joshua's had been moved up a couple of days. Of course, that rendered the purchase of his whiskey the day before quite pointless... if he would have known he'd have free alcohol available to him the very next day, he would have saved the 250 credits. But no matter, he could save that bottle for a dry spell -- and as alcohol was about the only thing he could use to coax Alucard into spending time with him, it was still a valuable commodity.
He had spent much of the day preparing the food for the party -- or, more precisely, fussing over spelling out Joshua's name in the most attractive manner with various fruits and nuts. When everything was set up in the garden, he headed off to shower and dress and primp (a process which, even with Pluto's limited luxuries, still took him nearly an hour). He wasn't sure if his services would be required during the event itself, but since he planned on becoming inebriated, he assumed Gabriel or Bruce or whoever might call upon

Sora was late...which he fully blamed on Roxas, even if he did spend the better of two hours purchasing his missing formal wear, showering, dressing and tracking down a woman with conceler so he could get rid of the dark circles under his eyes.
Finally fully dressed, Sora set a gift for Joshua down on a table for them, grabbing his own drink of something that smelled like cherries and was decorated with a rich red strawberry, smiling as he joined his boyfriend. "I knew you would look good in that," he said with a smile, examining Palpatine's outfit.
Palpatine's face lit up when he saw Sora heading his way. He had expected him to show up at this party sooner or later, but he wasn't sure how much time the boy would want to spend with him.
"Not nearly as smashing as you look," he replied, reaching out with his drink-free arm to give Sora a side-hug. He didn't know how much affection Sora would be comfortable showing in such an extremely public setting, so he kept the gesture simple and friendly (no ass-grabbing or other such tomfoolery). "Fine party, isn't it? How are you doing today?"
Sora smiled, easily staying next to Palpatine, not caring about the opinions of others as he wrapped an arm around Palpatine. "It's good so far, but then any part without drunk soldiers fighting is a good one," he said with a grin.
As for how he was doing today, Sora avoided the question, glancing around for the guest of honor. "Have you greeted Joshua yet?" he asked, glancing up at Palpatine.
