Honestly, Arachne had toyed with the idea of not showing up. Janus was, after all, clearly a little... difficult to get along with. But then, the same could be said about him, couldn't it? So he'd decided to head to the bar, dressed... well, as always.

Idly, he mused what had happened the last time he came to the Godsend Lounge - but of course, that wouldn't happen again. There was no way... and even if there was, he wasn't about to fuck everything up being stupid. That wry sarcasm was written on his face when he first entered and wiped quickly away from it.

Once he reached the bar, Arachne signaled the tender over and ordered (Oh, very punny, though by the looks of him he wouldn't be very receptive to snickers or comments) a few Barking Spiders. The decidedly... rather ridiculously blue concoction was quite interesting to look at, mixed in a collins glass as it was, and it wasn't until he had it that he nodded toward... well, who he guessed was Janus.

"Janus, I take it?" he started, voice smooth and calculated.

He gave an upward nod and a wink in response, amber eyes having kept track of the newest occupant of the bar as soon as he had a proper view. In most any light, Janus's expression was something of a sneer, but in the bar's lighting especially, he had quite the untrustworthy visage.

"Nice to meet ya' in person," He replied coolly, "If you want, we can have those drinks put on my tab." He lifted his brandy for a hearty swig. This was going to take losing a lot of his nerve; though, hopefully not enough that he wouldn't remember the information he needed...

He didn't bother getting up just yet. He preferred their conversation be held aside from where people would be coming and going, considering it wasn't going to be exactly easy for him to take place in it in the first place, let alone with the chance of anyone listening in. Thus, he kept his leaned-back position in his seat, hoping Arachne would take the hint.

Untrustworthy or not, Arachne couldn't complain. It would be silly to think he couldn't protect himself, after all, if things came down to it.

"Same to you." he replied, lips quirking as he downed the first Barking Spider. "Mm, you sure? Well, sounds good to me." As he mused it, another of the drinks disappeared, surprisingly quickly for someone who remained so... poised, typically. Oh, he knew Janus was uncomfortable - he could tell that as soon as he walked in. But hey, who said he had to be perfectly accomodating? Let the kid stew for a few minutes.

When said few minutes had passed (and the last drink had been slid across the table,) Arachne nodded. "Mm, but I assume you don't want to do this here, eh? Soon as your drink is finished, we can find somewhere more... comfortable to talk, yeah? The gardens are pretty empty, most of the time." he offered, hand waving idly in a rough gesture toward their direction.

A very emphasized shrug. "I asked y'down here in the first place, didn't I? Might as well be polite about it." He watched with a rather bored expression as his 'guest' for the time being finished off a steady amount of drinks. At the rate the first two had gone, Janus was admittedly a tad concerned that he'd have to figure out how to work up some fast cash after this little meeting ( ... )
