*hugs* for my English flisters. England had a really nice match today, even after Rooney was sent off; scratch that, they played even better at times after Rooney was sent off. I hate when matches are decided by penalty kicks. That Portuguese goalie, though ... WOW. He single handedly put his team in the semi-finals. So ... anyone think

(commenting late) - I didn't see the match cos we got tickets to see The Wind that Shakes the Barley in London at the same time and it's on v limited release... anyway. We always go out on penalties, usually in the quarters of world cups and sometimes make the semis of the european cup, so I wasn't surprised.

My bro was devastated about the France-Brazil result, mostly because he had brazilian defenders in his fantasy football team at work, so he only scores for them if no goals go in. And, obv, most of his fantasy team is now out...
