Doing a whole lot of "sleep and do nothing to avoid facing the Real Life tidal wave approaching in August," basically.
The following entry is long, but important to me. If you do actually read my journal, I'll ask that you don't skip this, just because it took a long time to write and contains an extensive narrative of my feelings and what's

I wouldn't worry about not being able to relate to your family when you get back. It'll be fine and they'll just be so glad to see you again, nothing else will matter. :)
The pride day sounded wonderful....I'd love to go to something like that, just to feel like I 'm a part of something that matters.
Good luck in school and I love Harry Potter too!

I'm lucky because if I want to come home, it's about 2.5 hours via subway/train and will only cost about $25 round trip, so if I have a bad week and want to come back for a weekend or something I can. So there's that, too, I won't be too far away. :)
Oh, it was so lovely. I think they tend to have pride celebrations all over, mostly in the major cities but elsewhere too. Look out for one near you! It's a lot of fun.
Thanks! :D

I hope you find someone that shares the same passion for music as you, because I have yet to find someone at my school that does. It's a shame.
I can relate when it comes to the chickening out about the hair. Perhaps you should steer clear of bright colors since you have to keep a professional look for the career you go into, but we should be able to express ourselves while being students you know? I've wanted to put a streak of blue or purple in my hair for the past two years and I haven't yet. But, my time is running out. Pretty soon I have to apply for jobs and join the real world. So do it now!

It really sucks when there's no one around who gets it, you know? It's one of the main reasons the internet is awesome, even though then you have to weed through the crazies. =\
We should both do it now! I mean, you have to live life without regrets, right? I'd rather regret doing something than regret NOT doing it and never knowing how it would have turned out. And damn straight, we haven't joined the real world yet!

And that I was thoroughly disappointed with Deathly Hallows Pt 2.

There were a few things that made me go, "Okay, ugh," but for the most part I loved it. Of course, I'm all wrapped up in the idea that it's over, and we finally got to see Snape's story played out, and I decided to go into it and take it for what it was, you know? I hated Part 1, though. Was it just to different from the book for you? I only read the book once, right when it came out, so I couldn't tell what was changed and what stayed the same.
