I could definitely use one such machine for an elderly family member. No need for the LCD, I've got a 19 inch that was left in our building's garage.

I would love one of the LCDs...and in terms of organizations, Steve used to work with a place called Team Children in Norristown, PA (we could drop off next time we go up there and get you a receipt for the donation.) They take older computers and refurb/upgrade them and give them to low income families who would otherwise have no computer or internet.
