You should be able to get a Sun Stone in the Goldenrod stores...

I don't know how far you are on the road, but as far as I remember most stores in other cities have catalogs to shop in Goldenrod with a small tax.

They were added to the catalog not long ago, so they are a little expensive, but still nothing that a good week of work can't cover.

Yeah, it's a really busy place! I grew up in a pretty small town, so it was kinda hard to get used to at first.

It's not... really a scam? It's kind of expensive, yeah, but if you battle a lot of trainers and get a short part-time job or whatever, it's pretty easy to save up that much. [Says the guy who is down to practically nothing right now...]
