More running commentary:
Spike finding - what - the only black parka in Alaska.
More sniping between the boys.
Buffy offering her wrist to Spike with such ease.
Spike really knowing what Scott was like!

tiny correction: “Just gotta show the little bastard whose boss, that’s all.” "whose" should be "who's". It's also possible that there was an "a" that should have read "as" but it's too hard to find again.

Dammit! Thought I got all of those. Thanks for the tip.

"Actually, Wes, it's not quite a bad as Spike suspected."

I think the hidden "as" helenkacan couldn't find is here. :)

Thanks for pointing that out. Those little mistakes are so hard to spot afterwards.

Another observation.
I believe it is a North Americanism to join these two words: "down town" would be "downtown".

Okay. Changed it.

I really like how successfully you've weaved the 2 timelines. Keeps the story flowing without getting bogged down in exposition. And if I were Buffy, I'd be ready the slam the boys' heads together about now.

Yes, they're being really annoying, aren't they? All that testosterone, even though they're both technically dead.

The small one was watching them intently, head down on its paws, narrow face tilted, all blue eyes and doggie cheekbones.

Heh. If they can get the little beast on their side, they'll be all set, won't they?

Yes, I think that's pretty important. If not vital.

You found an authentic plotty use for the world with nothing but shrimp! I am incredibly impressed. And I love Spike's Alpha male relationship with the dogs; and the explanation of eating-for-two (you are a tease, madam), and the general sense of a quest that we don't understand, because Spike and Buffy don't either. Still don't know what Wesley is after, really, but boy, do I want to!

Thank you. Glad you like it so far, and that the 'eating for two' thing explained itself. I was slightly worried about that, as one of my betas wanted me to leave it out.
