A bit late to the party, here is my contribution to
plot_wout_porn. I'm posting it in parts one after the other, in one big lump, a poll on my LJ having determined that most people would prefer that (not that I've had any option really, as I've been away all weekend).

Though now I'm like, oh, were we supposed to take a prompt for this? Because I didn't. *sheepish*
Re-reading is absorbing. My reaction to Wes is way different this time through. All I can think is: The poor, brave man! :D
Um, you know, looking at another comment, I realize that Buffy's "eating for two" thought might be construed in an incorrect, pregnant sort of way. :P

This is true. peasant_ wanted me to leave it out, but I thought in the end it would be self-explanatory so I left it.

Buffy stared at him.
"You bit them?"
He shook his vampire features away, though his human face looked just as irritable.
"Only the one. You know which. Gotta keep remindin' him who's boss."

I listened to a dramatisation of The Worst Journey in the World on Radio 4 last year. It included some of the nightmare and hallucination sequences from Cherry-Garrard's later diaries as well as the original book. Yikes! Hope that that's not what's following them.

I love Cherry-Garrard's book. Also, Sara Wheeler has written a wonderful biography of him. Have you read it?
