Now I'm all atwitter to know the particulars of that bite. Of course, you've left all sorts of things to our imaginations with this. Cruel mistress. This was wonderful stuff, the device of Candy not knowing the whole story a perfect echo of our own imperfect understanding, as it always is in life.
