I am really enjoying the pacing you have going here - so much action and emotion in so few words.
Looking forward to seeing how you bring it to its conclusion. Personally, I'm torn between escape and rescue.

The mystical prison of the Council of Watchers was a bad, bad place. Xander wasn’t going to pretend otherwise. Indefinite detention? Psychological torture/actual torture, depending how you define being gutted in your dreams.

Can they all escape through the gate? Is the first slayer the only supervision/jailer?
