I like a place that grows winter. Shivery. Can't tell yet whether this 'elf' is evil, lonely or something else, but his effect is magical.

I like your thoughts on the portability of knitting, incidentally - nice world-building details that Tolkien probably didn't bother with...

I'm glad you liked the thoughts on the portability of knitting - and I could see the Rohirrim having a semi-nomadic history, as well as being a gregarious people likely to gather together for warmth in the winter!
