On Saturday we went to a lecture in Cambridge - every year there's a Stephen Glanville Memorial Lecture on Egyptology, given by some notable person in the field, organised by the Fitzwilliam Museum. The heart and mind thing, though, is a concept shared by many ancient societies and, likeable as it is to us, stems from a fundamental misunderstanding of where the center of reasoning lies, not an attempt to combine passion and reason.
