So, after a heated discussion with my dad about politics, I figured I needed to get on the ball and educate myself (as daunting a task as that may be). And since I'm working on a bug that requires me to win a game to see if the bug is fixed, I figured I could read while I'm waiting for my turn in Uno.

I can understand your position on FMLA (Federal Medical Leave Act), but it's something that definitely needed to be done. FMLA makes it easier for women and men to reenter the work force after having a baby, adopting a baby, etc. Before (and sometimes still, though in more covert ways), employers could essentially penalize a woman for getting pregnant by mysteriously not having her position there for her after maternity leave. It's basically penalizing people for having a family. Not to mention, let's say something severe happens to someone's child - like they're in a major car accident, requiring about 6-8 weeks of rehabilitation. Wouldn't it make the family's situation even worse if Dad lost his job during that time because he had to take time off? How then would they pay for the child's medical care ( ... )
