Taking off from Charlotte and heading back to Raleigh, Daddy looked out the window and commented that the trees looked nice now that they're starting to turn colors. And I thought about that. Why is it that we delight in autumn colors? Leaves turning various shades of orange and gold and red

I'm sorry about your grandfather, but I'm glad you got to spend some quality time with family and family friends. Even though the circumstances stink, it is nice to connect/reconnect with people like that. Despite everything, it sounds like you had a positive experience
