Okay, class, please turn in your summer book reports...

I know that I'm an English dork when I sort of wish I had been assigned a sort of book report to do this summer on a few books I'd read during my blissful ten weeks of freedom, unhinged from the pressure-block of Shakespeare outlines due, of Canterbury Tales papers, etc. So I'm going to do just that:

1) The Bean Trees

I LOVE this book!! I had to read it for 10th grade English class and I totally fell in love. I miss you so much, we must hang out again! You totally need to visit me this year.

Aw, I really want to!

As I said, it's one of my all-time favorite books, ever. Yeah. That entry is one big whole Kingsolver lovefest.

Have you read The Poisonwood Bible yet? I haven't, but am going to get it next time I go to the library, I think. Although I'm told it's much different than the Taylor + Turtle saga of Trees and Pigs in Heaven (which is also equally amazing).

Beth, what's that book that you were reading when you were on a plane to somewhere and you kept laughing out loud at it, and some lady near you asked you what you were reading?

I want it. But I don't know what it's called. I remember your post about it, however. ;)

That's awesome that you wished you had to do a book report on some good books over summer vacation. You rock!
