What: Julian is brought back to the hotel following his absence.
The Starfleet uniform on the tall, lean officer lying face down atop the pool table was scorched and dirty. There was a gaping hole on one side from several ribs above his hip to his thigh, with charred fibers and blood. The blood was dripping still, even though the unconscious young man had been on the table for hours. The dried, caked blood on his forehead was from the butt of the rifle of the Jem'Hadar shot him and who had then tried to finish the job. But Julian had managed to get off a shot before dropping to the ground and passing out, a well-aimed blast, even if it was from point-blank range.
