Who: Ninth Doctor, Owen Harper
When: Just after
thisWhere: The garage
What: The Doctor returns to the TARDIS and finds that things have changed.
The Doctor sighed contentedly as he made his way across the garage towards his TARDIS, bananas- always a good end to the day (or a start to one for that matter).
Ever so often he glanced around him. He'd promised Dean that he would keep a weather eye open for anyone breaking into his car, but truth be told, he often forgot- but not today. Today he stopped and as he did, a familiar sound hummed softly in his mind, nagging him gently to keep his promise. For a split second he didn't notice, almost as if he had forgotten what the sound was, then the humming became a more insistent song, calling to him.
By the time he reached the TARDIS, her song was loud and clear, as he moved towards the doors, he took the key from his pocket, it glowed gently in his hand. For a split second he didn't believe what he was seeing. The Hotel was toying with him, taunting him, as it had done with so many of the others that were trapped with him.
Pushing open the door, he stepped inside.
The centre console stood silently blinking, waiting for him. Overjoyed that she was whole again, he hurried towards it, then slowly circled around, his fingers trailing along the edges, automatically checking each control.
Suddenly grinning, he turned back towards the doorway, Rose and Jack- he had to go and find them.He had barely taken a step in that direction, when the door slammed shut and the TARDIS began to move.
"No, no,no, no, no," he yelled, sprinting across the metal grating of the gangway, then back to the console, desperate to stop the inevitable.
