I fully agree and that i why I acquired two copies. The first one came at a cost but I was so slack-jawed by it that I grabbed it. And then six months later, one came by at a nice price and the two together evened out to reasonable and now I have one for a future trade with a like-minded aesthete.
Also, it's a tatekan which means it's a nice, tapestry-like 20" X 56" in two pieces. It's a wonderful poster style, in my opinion. And I have the regular poster Japanese poster for the title held for me by a pal as well. It's similar and also very nice.
And I probably never would have gotten into Robbe-Grillet without reading your bits, by the way. They're screening some more at the Cinematheque soon so I'll get to see Eden et Apres, hopefully.
oh, and have you heard nisennenmondai? awesome japanese band who mix post-punk with krautrock and noisy bits and stuff. they would be a rad party band! try to find some. i got this recent two-record set that has two earlier, Japanese-only releases. The second record has song titles like pop group, this heat and sonic youth. so, you can get a good idea of what they're doing.
This is so gorgeous. It looks kind of like a subdued version of an East Totem West overprint. Most of their stuff is way too boring but that series is worth the exorbitant amounts of money it probably sells for.
