I recall a phrase from the beginning of this past season of baseball. A phrase I heard quite often actually, when the ever testy Cubs/White Sox rivalry would bubble up. The inevitable saying that popped out of every Cubs fan's mouth was the following, "Hey, talk to me in October and then we'll see

hell yes. i think there might have been a lot of cubs fans around me at the nd football game this weekend. they announced football and baseball scores sometime during the game and when i heard that the cubs had lost, i yelled "woohoo! cubs lost! it's a great day!" and everyone just stopped and looked at me funny.

whatever. i was excited.
