I love the Brennan/Cam dynamic. There really needs to be more fics like this, and I love this little snippet. The way that Brennan acts so logically, even after logic has failed her, and that she seeks out Cam, because she'd understand, is perfect. Because let's face it, as adorable as Booth's little "you gave him the best gift of all", or whatever, was, it really doesn't help any. That Brennan goes to Wong Foo's in search of the familiar, of a memory of before, and that even that fails her. Ouch.

Their voices were spot on.

Yes, Brennan is so "Logic fails in this case, but I'm not going to stop using it" sometimes it hurts.

I relate to the desire to find a place familiar and comforting when your world has been tumbled upside down. I think it was a beautiful idea for Brennan to take Cam there. And then the frustrating detail of Sid's being sold - I could so clearly see Brennan's need to get a grasp on her self-blame.

Fantastic job! I think I'll go search for more of your written work. :)
