Well you know what artists say... nothing is original. I wouldn't be surprised if Takahashi pulled from this source.

I don't remember where I heard this, but in an early draft, Yugi was bald.

it certainly may have been a conscious influence, especially since tezuka is probably the most famous manga/anime author of all time. if the comparison you're drawing between their appearances is their outfits, though, i don't think that's much of a big deal. it's pretty much a basic japanese school uniform from those decades.

I've watched the first 8 episodes, and it does have a similarity in the first ones, The guy with the purple uniform reasembles Ushio and when Wato was introduced to the Ramen grandpa it was similar to when Anzu was introduced to Sugoroku.

And Gosh!! that kid can make machines from trash at instant!!

man,I guess Takahashi-sensei is a huge fan of Mitsume ga Tooru,no wonder both Yuugi-kun and his sexy alter-ego is quite similar with Sharaku and his other self XD
