Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Survey, Part II!

So last year, I hosted a panel about the Yu-Gi-Oh! fandom at Tekkoshocon XIII. Most of the information for that panel came from a survey that I posted on PTDC.

Filled it out! Hoping to actually make it to Tekkosho this year for at least a day, if I'm there the day of the panel I'll be sure to pop in. :]

I live about 10-15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh & it's super easy to get there. Just keep me posted!

Filled it out! I love surveys and I love Yugioh. When these two things meet, I can't resist. xD

I'm surprised at the top ships. I had no clue Yami/Jou had such a wide fanbase. O.o

It does! Go to the yaoi doujinshi booth at any anime convention. Most the stuff in the YGO section is either Kaiba/Jou, Kaiba/Yami or Yami/Jou. Those three take up pretty much the whole box.

Which is disappointing for someone who really doesn't care for any of those combinations...

I suspect Thiefshipping (Yami Bakura x non-Yami Marik) is the most popular of those, but probably not so much as the three main characters because in canon there's not much going for it. It's fantastic in the Abridged-verse, though ^^

I filled it out! It's too bad there weren't any questions about pairings in this one, though. I think it's pretty important.

Also, I love your use of "Bakurae" as a plural for "Bakura"

Also it squicks me out that Puppyshipping is the most popular. I absolutely hate. that. pairing. >< just saying

Yeah, I would've liked to ask that, but there's no easy way to ask without sifting through everyone's individual answers, and I was trying to avoid that as much as possible this year.

Haha, I picked up "Bakurae" from the surveys last year, actually. XD People would say things like "any of the Bakurae" for their favorite character.

Maybe you could try listing 15 or 20 of the most popular ships and have everyone pick their three favorites? Then you could list the percent of votes that each ship got.
