Got my flu shot at the grocery after work yesterday, no co-pay (thanks, Obamacare!). Going to a conference for work in early November, so figured it would be a good idea to reduce the chances of picking up at least one type of crud. I can't get the flu shot. It guarantees I'll be sick for two weeks. I'd rather take my chances with possibly *not* getting the flu. Yay being immunocompromised...

And folks like you that have bad reactions to the flu shots or can't get them for whatever reason are exactly why I'm happy to go through a bit of brief and minor discomfort every year - if enough of the herd that can get vaccinated IS vaccinated, it'll help protect the ones that can't be. Hopefully enough folks around you are getting their shots too <3

You're welcome! I'm heading to a big conference in November, so I figured it was good to get mine now, hopefully one less type of crud to potentially pick up from a big mob of people.
