Oh what pretty foods! This is a great idea! I must steal it in the future time once I have acclimatized myself to eating salads instead of just admiring them from afar! 8DDD

They are quite colorful! Had one today for lunch and everyone was very impressed, lol. You could start small, kinda ease into it with one of the teeny jam-sample size mason jars ^_~

:D

Some years ago SIL and I went to see Wicked with my cousin in LA, and after we went to a neat restaurant with sawdust and peanut shells on the floor and v rustic decorations, but the amazing thing was they had this red cabbage salad? AND I ATE ALL OF MINE? RIGHT?????? O.O I like zingy dressings of various types, but I think I've always been put off by the limp paper-texture leaves of iceberg, and the slightly bitter 'chlorophyll' taste of a lot of greens. But my taste buds have changed over the decades, so I'm endeavoring to expand the palette... ;D

How funny - I'm just the opposite! I always picked out the red cabbage bits from salads, found them very bitter and the texture kind of rubbery and distressing, unless the cabbage is all chopped up in a slaw or something. I usually stick to Romaine lettuce, mild taste for me anyway, and holds up longer in the fridge, but I do like cubed chunks of the inner parts of iceberg. Like eating crunchy water. Funny how taste buds change - it's only in the last decade I've started to appreciate onions, in small doses ^^

Quite fun! As long as I have sufficient chewing time at work it's a great alternative to my usual microwave pizza, lol.

I have the same problem with eating apples at work - so tasty, but they take so long!

Those look awesome, so many vitamins!

I managed to eat all of it today, but it took about an hour between phone calls and visitors asking questions and trying to email at the same time. Definitely not practical for some days when we've got back to back programming, but for the slower days like today it's doable.

I felt so virtuous from my healthy lunch I had cookies for supper :P

I found recipes for oatmeal in a jar. You put in oats, milk, Greek yogurt, and your flavorings and let it sit overnight. I just made their pumpkin pie recipe, so fingers crossed its good.

I tried that once, with oatmeal and milk and chia seeds, added some bananas and stuff on top - turned out pretty good, for oatmeal! I still haven't managed to convince myself into really liking oatmeal on a regular basis though.

This one was about the same. Their ratio of sweetener to pumpkin puree was a bit off but otherwise it wasn't too bad. I don't like salads quite enough to try them in a jar.
