OMFGGGGGG, DARLING, THIS WAS SIMPLY FRIED GOLD. OJMMMMMMMMGMGAMSKASNJANJSAKDN SD NDASNDJKNDDK SMDKSDNASJK.

A FABULOUS cast, hilarious characters, I LOVE THE ENTIRE PREMISE, and this has to be my favourite thing:

This often leads to bizarre encounters in which Stan, having found a bear costume in pediatrics, stands in the middle of stairways attempting to catch invisible salmon.

I LOLED SO HARD I ALMOST CHOKED.

THANK YOU FOR THIS. So pimping it out. X^D

I'm so glad you liked it! And thanks for the pimp-age! <3
I was actually rather nervous about doing this because it occurred to me that, as much as I like funny things and occasionally can gain a laugh myself, I have no clue how comedy actually works. Also, I'm so used to writing scientifically that I actually did some research to come up with Europa as the location for all of this. Because I'm ridiculous like that. *facepalm*

Oh, and I was definitely going to tell you that Neil Gaiman wrote an episode for Doctor Who, BUT YOU ALREADY KNOW! I seriously can't wait for this!

Actually I think that sounds quite good! The premise seems deliciously madcap and I really like the idea of Julian Barratt's character--I agree that it seems perfect. Also, the fact that the hospital has a pediatric ward but no children just seems completely excellent and like a great setup for hijinks.

It seems sad to eat an animal that sounds as cute as a cross between a potato and a cuttlefish, but then again the same is true of cows and I do that all the time. Come to think of it I actually completely endorse that kind of behavior on poetic grounds.

Also, I happily surrender!

P.S. I wrote a response to your comment on my recent entry--sorry it took me a few days.

Oh, excellent! I'm glad you like it! Perhaps this is presumptuous, because I do not actually know Julian Barratt, but I feel almost as though it's the sort of role he would choose anyway, assuming this was an actual pilot premise.

As much as I love potatoes and cuttlefish, they both have an odd sort of inherent comedy to them, yes?

Okay, so this might be overly complicated, but your assignment is such: a drama about "lost generation" era PI. Feel free to include any literary/artistic/historical cameos that you might like.

P.S. I just responded to your response and am giving Mariee Sioux a try right now!

That does seem likely--at least judging from the sorts I've seen him play, which might be a terrible metric, I guess.

Absolutely! Especially potatoes, which are really just all comedy. Cuttlefish have a strange beauty to them too.

That sounds excellent and I'll get to work on it right away! I must warn you, though, that I'm currently drinking gin gimlets alone at my dining table, which might make me a better method actor in such a program but might cause the show outline to come apart at the seams a little.

P.S. What do you think? If you like her I know some other folks (har har) that you might like even more.

True: cuttlefish are far more beautiful than potatoes.

Excellent! I can't wait to read it, even if it's a bit gin-soaked, so to speak. (And now I'm definitely craving a gimlet. Damn!)

P.S. Heh "folks"....I like her, but I can see what you were saying about her lyrics: they're a bit impressionistic, if that makes any sense. Also, I'm guessing she's one of those artists that I'd have to be in the right mood to appreciate. However, I'm up for any suggestions that you might have!
