Oh, sorry :[ I didn't want to mention how he died (and I thought I managed not to mention it...), because I didn't know how others would react to it. I'll start putting warnings on each part from now on.

Even so, I'm very glad that you liked it. I'm trying my best to make it different, and I've got a few twists and turns coming up. And yes, sob, poor Tom and Dougie. :(
