Swearing to himself that he'd never complain about boredom again, Sam managed to find his way into the compound. His goal was the clinic, and then maybe the IPD office. Donna was leaving the IPD office when she ran into him in the hall. "Oh my god, Sam," she said. "What happened to you?" He looked like he'd been to hell, although that might have been his expression more than anything else.

"If I told you that I had an accident at the swings, would you believe me?" Sam winced as he tried to smile, his lip not only split but swelling. "A gentleman's misunderstanding. Solved the old-fashioned way." With his head as a punching bag.

"Doesn't really sound like an accident when you put it like that," Donna said, wincing as she reached gingerly toward him. "Ooh, god. The gentleman got you good there. You need ice for this."

"Accident in as much as I didn't duck fast enough," flinching as her hand came near, Sam couldn't agree with her more. "I got a good one in on him too, and the swing hit me, but-" that stuff didn't matter. The hurting and soreness mattered. "Ice would be good."
