Kindly refrain from the happy wishings. It being the anniversary of my birth does not in any sense make it a particularly joyful day. However, it wouldn't be appropriate to break with the traditions of our House in this regard; hence I shall of course make appropriate amounts of alcohol and other prerequisites of casual hedonism available after the younger years have scattered dutifully off to bed.
