You know, all of your entries are beautiful. By the way, I always read them because they are thoroughly intriguing. Your words make me visualize little stories in my head and it makes me smile and, "Oh!" Yes, yes. Whenever I go into a coffee place and they ask for my name, I always want to say some amazing and magical name or just characters from movies or actresses. But then I get too afraid that they will figure me out; paranoa and all. I love those sunglasses and your lipstick! Audrey Hepburn, you! If I ever saw you on the street, you would be the type of person I would want to talk to but never would. Instead, I would intellectualize it and make up your story and write about it later. Because that is how I am. Ah, and how is the low-male diet working for you? I just may try it myself.
what lovely things to say! there was actually a funny thing with the 'isla' incident. i realised i had no cash and had to pay with plastic, so my name was all over the place. i don't think the cashier noticed. he did like 'my' name, saying it was unusual, but with inflection implying that he liked it. i said 'it's scottish' and smiled.
i think i give off that sort of vibe, because i dress pretty strangely. i catch equally interesting people looking at me, but then they just smile sheepishly and look away. i find shyness endearing {and i am ridiculously introverted}, but it makes befriending new people so difficult.
the low-male diet is going well. as long as i don't meet some dashing russian gentleman in his late twenties or something. eek.
ps. i am ridiculously happy you compared me to audrey hepburn!
merci! i love the cowboy look as well, lately. i have always wanted a pair of cowboy boots, but they were always difficult to find. but luckily {i suppose} they are mad-popular now, so there's a nice selection.
aren't they? i stole them from motherdearest a few years ago, permanently. people used to make fun of her all the time when she wore them, so i don't think she minds.
Your journal has become my favourite to read lately. I always really look forward to your updates, and must have read every single post on this journal this weekend.
Just thought you should know!! I feel like I have the biggest crush.
i felt the same way when i stumbled upon yr journal, miss holly (when you were vaniityx), i feel a bit stalkerish saying that but at least i know i'm in good company, with vicki :) xxx

cowboy boots = charlotte russe.
i have increasing love for charlotte russe, actually. really lovely clothes there, just a bit pricey for me. their boots were all half-off, though!
