If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? The one thing that I would change about the world is that people would at least accept and respect people’s differences. We would still disagree but at least people would realize that everyone has the right to be respected and valued for who and what they are.
Who is your favorite Hogwarts teacher? My favorite Hogwart’s teacher is Prof. Remus Lupin. Professor Lupin showed a light hearted, yet very informative way to teaching - such as not to scare the students into listening but to get their attention and then entertain it with clever quips and bits of information. This really almost makes the student want to learn and class become enjoyable for both the student and the teacher.
Who is your favorite character in Harry Potter? My favorite character in Harry Potter would probably be Remus Lupin. I love the heart that he shows, in his scenes with Harry and Sirius you can gauge alot about his character. When he was talking with Harry in the woods and on the bridge about James and Lily it was very touching and won my over into being a Remus supporter as you could tell how he cared for Harry and alot of his personality showed there - devotion, caring, love, loyalty. He also does not let the fact that he is a werewolf come is the way of his duties, he understands that it is something he cannot change and it is also something that most people still have problems accepting. It hasn’t hardened him is has just made him almost more insightful into people. He has learned so much through his odd life experiences that he truly seems like a wonderful and very deep character.
Who is your least favorite character in Harry Potter? My least favorite character in the Harry Potter series would be Lucius Malfoy as he seems to have no real regard for anyone but himself and Draco. He will also trouble anyone who gets in the way of his plans and make sure that it does not happen again, this makes him most dislikable in my mind.
What makes a person respectable? For a person to be respectable they must show loyalty and devotion and true strength when it comes to important matters. Also to be respectable you must show respect to others; this shows that you honor people for who they are.
What is your take on religion? My take on religion is that they are many different religions and many followers of each religion. There is one great power and at different times it takes the form to appeal to those who need help the most. Religion is best to be held as having faith in a greater power - whether that power is God or just Mother Earth.
What do you think about house elves? I think that house elves, if they are content and happy in what they are doing, should be allowed to continue to serve the family they are with. If an elf is being mistreated, they should be protected and allowed to decide where they would wish to be. If they chose to stay with the family, the family would be monitored so as to see that they are not abusing the elf. If an elf desires to be freed, he/she should be freed on a temporary basis, where he/she could come back to the family if they did not like freedom. If they did desire to stay free they would be able to leave the family on good terms and seek out what they want to do in life.
What do you look for in a friend? The qualities that I look for in a friend are a variety of things, the first and foremost being an excellent sense of humor and the realization that humor can get us through many things in life. Another important thing that I look for in friends is the ability to comfort or help their other friends who are in need; the ability to lend a helping hand is very important. Trust is another very important feature, if you wish to get true advice from your friends, you would not want them going around and telling others about what you sought their advice for, you need to be able to trust and have faith in those closest to you. Finally, something that a friendship cannot thrive without is creativity. To think up new ideas, to find new ways to defeat your problems, creativity is truly vital in succeeding in life.
Would you rather have friends and family or money and success? I would rather have friends and family than money and sucess. Friends and family you have been blessed with and they will often stand by you and support you. If you are very wealthy and sucessful it can be hard to judge who are your true friends and who just wish to take advantage of you. True friends and a good family is more important than any amount of money. As they say, money cannot buy true happiness.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? If I changed one thing about myself, it would be my problem of second-guessing myself and not always believing in my instinct. I would want to have a little more faith in myself.
What do you feel is your best quality? My best quality is probably my humor mixed with my caring. I can never stand to see one of my friends depressed or feeling bad, I always try to cheer them up and if I cannot I at least let them know that I will always try to be there for them.
What are your hobbies? My hobbies include singing, dancing, writing, daydreaming, creating digital art, people-watching, studying music, loving my fandoms, seeking out my friends here on LJ, creating costumes, writing down story ideas, collecting jewelry, walking anywhere in nature, medieval faires, re-enacting and any sort of studying of ghosts, hauntings, or unusual things.
Do you want to have children? While children are very special and important, I do not personally feel the desire for children. I enjoy the comfort and the ability to care for a child but I find that I can often get distracted and I worry that I would not be able nor want to give my full attention to a child. I also do not wish to resent them for restricting different things in my life, such as travelling, going out with my friends and other things. The children I do desire to have are animals, I find animal companions to know me better than I almost know myself.
Have or would you give time and money to a charity? I have and will continue to give money to charity as well as volunteer my time. The causes that always get my attention and care are those in which the victim cannot help or better themselves. Those who’ve been rendered homeless by storms, animals that have been abused by their owners, children who’re sick and need special care. Those are very worthwhile causes as that is truly caring to help someone who is so down on their luck that they cannot even begin to help themselves.
If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do? If my friend was attacked by a person or animal I would try to shield us so we could get away and hopefully not hurt the other person/creature. Distracting the attacker could also be an option, out and out fighting often ends up in somebody getting severely hurt. The best thing would be, if it were and animal to try and see what caught it’s attention and try to have it focus on something else; if it were a person try to confuse them or lose them by hiding and maneuvering as to where they couldn’t find you.
What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish? I would most like to accomplish having a nice place for myself where I could have many pets and easily welcome several friends over as often as I could. Basically a nice place to rest my head and keep the things that I value the most safe, protected and loved.
Who is your role model? My role model, aside from my mother, is Drew Barrymore. I learned about her a while ago. She become very popular and involved with very bad things at a very young age, she fought back against drug addiction and alcoholism and is now a successful actress, producer, etc. Who seems to really enjoy life and be very happy. To have the power to drag yourself back out of the gutter is very promising.
What trait most annoys you about other people? The most annoying trait in other people is the lack of concern of others. It seems almost amazing that some people can actually get to a point where they stop caring about others, to me that annoys me the most, as to care for others shows that you are still human, feel your emotions, and live life. When you don’t care about others, it is almost as if you have given up.
What do you want to do for a living? I would love to work in a larger-sized hotel, possibly working in creative design and show design. I would love to be able to let my imagination go wild and see what I could create that people would look at and go ‘Wow!’ That would truly be quite wonderful.
Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason? The only case in which I would use and Unforgivable Curse would be if my friends and I were in a battle situation in which I knew I could not escape and was going to die or was already dying. Then I would use the Imperious Curse on a member of the enemy team and fight off his own kind to try and give those on my side who could escape as much of a chance to escape as they could
What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? (This question is optional for those who feel they just DO NOT fit in a house. Please explain WHY.) I really do not feel like on who would fit in well in Slytherin. I do not have anything against them, but my goal is not to reach success by any means but to work at what I want to get by my own forces.
What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities? My top five abilities would be (in no order, whatsoever) sense of humor, creativity, caring, intuition, stubbornness.
These are my top five choices as humor enables me to get through life, my creativity keeps my mind bubbling, my caring helps me try to help others and see the good in them, my intuition helps me sometimes when I need a little extra shove, and my stubbornness keeps me from giving up to easily.
