- What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why? I’d love to say a teacher so I could live at Hogwarts but I know I don’t have the patience for that sort of job. Having said that, I’m currently studying to be a librarian and dealing with magical books would be way more exciting than plain old Muggle books, so I’ll stick with that.
- If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why? In all honesty, probably History of Magic. Personally I would find that fascinating, since I love history anyway. I’d love to see how magical and muggle history intertwined.
- This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not? Nope. No way. Definitely not. For a start, I’m not the glory-seeking type and I’m definitely not the type to run headlong into danger, however exciting it may be. I’m a bit of a wimp, I’m afraid.
- If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why? Heh. If I had to choose something that was akin to me, I’d probably end up as a pigeon. Because they may be lazy but those birds know where the food sources are so they’re not stupid. Although they kinda are. And they are part of the dove family and above all else, who cares if you’re fat and stupid when you can fly?
- What HP character do you identify with most and why? I see a lot of myself in Hermione - mainly the bossy, slightly annoying, smart parts - but I think everybody says that. And Ron too - I know I can be petty and resentful too. I think the joy of Harry Potter is that there’s a little bit of everyone in all of the characters.
- What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised? I’d like to look in the mirror and like what I see. Not looks-wise - I’d like to be able to look at myself and be content with who and what I am, my position in life, my future, my past.
- If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it? The sensible answer would be to invest it wisely and end up with even more money! But I wouldn’t be able to resist a few treats, I think. I’d go visit all of my friends scattered around the world that I haven’t seen in years. I’d buy myself a nice little house on the coast. Oh, and I’d hire a chauffeur. I hate to drive.
- What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now? When I was little I wanted to be an astronaut. I hated science with a passion, wasn’t remotely interested, but I just longed to go into space, to see the stars up close, to see the Earth from up there…still would love that.
- If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it? Hmmm. Some kind of charm to make the weather match my mood would suit me. You know how there are days when you really feel like a good rainstorm and it’s too sunny? Or vice versa? As for a name…Caleoaeris would do.
- If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus? You know, I genuinely don’t know what my worst fear is. I’d be interested in meeting a boggart just so I could find out! And as for the Riddikulus, that would turn it into a duck-billed platypus. Just because.
- What do you look for in a friend? I don’t think I look for personality traits. I don’t think friendship is something you can define. Sometimes your best friends end up being the most unlikely of people. My best friend in the world is the complete opposite of me in every way - we don’t agree on a single thing - but I love her dearly and I’d never change her. So I guess, acceptance is the most valuable anyone can give you, friend or family.
- What trait most annoys you about other people? Intolerance. I guess you could say I’m intolerant of intolerance. Just live and let live.
- What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities? I’m smart. I’ve got a great sense of humour. I’m a fount of useless knowledge. I’m loyal. I’m not above bending or breaking the rules every now and then.
- What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities? I’m lazy. I’m selfish. My personal integrity is too flexible. I have a temper. I’m not motivated.
- Define in your own words the following key traits:
- Courage: Doing what needs to be done, even at personal cost.
- Loyalty: Staying true to what and who you believe in.
- Intelligence: Using your brain, in whatever situation you find yourself.
- Ambition: Having a goal and working towards it.
