(no subject)

  • What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why?
I would like to open up my own shop either in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade. Working for the ministry is not for me; too overwhelming. Besides, I have a feeling that I wouldn’t do too well with magic and whatnot. I like a relatively quiet life, so I figured opening a shop would confine myself to whatever I will be selling. (Probably hats or art supplies. The lack of art in the wizarding world scares me) I can also meet some extremely interesting wizards or witches along the way.

  • If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why?
Transfiguration. Shape-shifting and warping appearances intrigue me, especially with the human form. There’s also a certain level of fun promised with teaching the subjects. You never know what foolish thing students are going to do.

  • This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not?

Not at all. Getting blown to smithereens by a fire-breathing dragon or being sent into a rabid frenzy over a maze is not by idea of fun. I like a good adrenaline rush but, I’m just not courageous enough to take it to that extreme. I’d much rather sit back and watch someone else get blown to smithereens by a fire-breathing dragon and get sent into a rabid frenzy over a maze.

  • If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why?

A butterfly. No one ever suspects the butterfly. My first choice was a leopard, but how on earth do I get around as a leopard? Butterflies are also quite airy, so that’s easy transportation. I like to go unnoticed if I ever switch over the dark side and am committing a crime of any sort.

  • If you could be written into any HP Series book as a new character, which book would it be, and who would your character be? Why did you choose that book/character?
Definitely Book 4 because of the excitement of the Tri-Wizard Tournament. I thought it’d be a more interesting if that book showed more of the Durmstrang and Beauxbaton students instead of just the champions. I’d write myself in as a minor character; either a Durmstrang student taking part in a conspiracy against Harry or just another Beauxbatons girl.

  • What is your favorite magical spell/charm? Why?

Sectumsempra. Cruel, but definitely handy in a dangerous situation. It seems like to fend of enemies better than any other spells, well, besides the Unforgivable Curses…which I don’t think I’d be able to cast because I’ve never really really wanted to hurt someone that bad before.

  • Name three reasons why you would like to be sorted into each House.
    Hufflepuff
    - Nice, loyal friends who probably wouldn’t ditch you because you forgot their Christmas presents.
    - Naw. I've been racking my brains for hours over this one. Just. No. I would definately not be in this house because I can't think of any other good reasons why on earth I'd be in it.

    Slytherin
    - Minions. Lots and lots of minions.
    - A certain status I guess. If it’s going to get me to pass potions, then why not.
    - Seems like you know a lot more secrets when you’re in this house. It also has an extremely shady past.

    Gryffindor
    - Bravery. It’d be nice to see someone do something outrageous once in a while.
    - Pranksters. Hmm. Pranks and hijinks seem to ensue more often in this house than any other. I like to have fun.
    - Being in the same house as the Boy Who Lived is pretty awesome, no?

    Ravenclaw
    - Intelligence comes with that package
    - They don't seem quite involved in House rivalries, which is good since you don't have to fear that someone's going to turn you into a dungbeetle in the next corner
    - A completely neutral reputation.

  • You've received your O.W.L results. What are your results? (You have to have failed or done poorly in at least one subject)
Ancient Runes: P. Ah. Interpretations, how I hate them.
Astronomy: E. Always have been fascinated by stars, constellations and planets.
Care of Magical Creatures: A. Not my idea of fun, but I wouldn’t do that poor in it.
Charms: O. Charms seem relatively simple. Say the incantation and move your wand.
Defense against the dark arts: E. Spells seem to be a simple thing for me. Anything that doesn’t involve formulas and beakers are fine with me.
Divination: P. I’m not into wild predictions with no support behind them. I refuse to make them.
Herbology: P. My father gave his plant for me to take care of. It died in a week.
History of Magic: O. It’s boring, but memorizing facts aren’t a problem for me.
Potions: A. Judging on how horrible my cooking is, I’d have to pass at the lowest level on this one.
Transfiguration: O. If I’m going to teach it, I’d have work pretty hard at this one.

  • If you could have any superpower - but only ONE - what would it be?

Invisibility. Not any of that invisibility cloak 80% of the way; 100% invisible. Just think of the fun you can have. I mean, as long as you’re invisible, you’re free to carry out whatever plans you have…I think it definitely beats out super-speed or the ability to fly.

  • What HP character do you identify with most and why?
Nymphodora Tonks. The odd one out of the family, changes appearance often, laid-back and somewhat crushed by all that’s happened.

  • What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
I really don't know. I'm not clear to as what I want right now. Sitting infront of the computer with no interruptions from the parental unit is actually very satisfying.

  • If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it?
I’d probably tell you I’d donate part of it to charity, but that’s a complete lie. I have good intentions; it’s just that I really never get around to doing those things. I probably would spend it through the course of my life. I don’t like to settle things all at once.

  • Which HP book is your favorite and why?
Fourth. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Tri-Wizard tournament, personally, I think its genius. The entire plot was well written with a lot of twists. Besides, there was a lot less inter-trio brooding in that one.

  • Which HP book is your least favorite and why?
Fifth. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It wasn’t as action packed as any of the other books. I understand that you have to have a book in a series where it explains things, but the summary of that one was basically: angsting, angsting, angsting, ugly old hag, angsting, angsting, character death.

  • What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now?
Artist and always has been something to do with the arts. It’s the one thing that I’m good at and I’m interested in. A comic illustrator or a tattoo artist is what I have in mind as of now. I like to meet different types of people.

  • If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it?
A boredom potion. Honestly, boredom is just the worst kind of feeling out there. I haven't got a clue what I would call it, but it'd find you something to do for at least 5 hours.

  • If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus?
My mother. Hands down, she is the scariest thing when she yells for no reason. I don't know, counterspell that with a hat because she looks hilarious in any hat.

  • What do you look for in a friend?

Someone who you can bounce your ideas off of. I mean, a nice friend can be pleasing at times, but I prefer someone who is honest to tell me what in bloody hell I’m doing wrong. People like this are extremely hard to find, so I appreciate them as much as I can we I do find them.

  • What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish?
Right now, it is to knit a pac-man scarf. I tend to like short term goals because I don't like to stick to long-term things. So. Yes. I have no clue how to knit patterns, so I'd want to make a scarf with pac-man.

  • What trait most annoys you about other people?
Redundant-ness. I absolutely despise people who have a tendency to repeat themselves over and over and over and over and over and over again. It’s probably due to my short interest-span so I lose all forms of curiosity in a person when they get too repetitive.

  • What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
Lie. I'm not for lying or that I do it everyday. If it makes people happy, then why not throw them one...like if your grandpa is on his deathbed, tell him that you got a full scholarship because it would make him happy.
Creativity. You can probably see by now that the arts interest me. I've gotten rather good at it in the past year.
Independency. It's nice to know that you can get by on your own.
Honesty. I guess it really contradicts with the first one up there. BUt when it comes to appearances or art, I'm deathly honest. I consider it a good thing because everyone needs to acknowledge that there's always room for improvement.
Caring. It's not very obvious if you ever meet me. I show that I care in more subtle ways.

  • What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
Impatience. I don’t like to wait up for anyone or anything.
Selfishness. The word “I” definitely comes around a lot in my head.
Narcissism. I think it’s in all of us. I don’t like it, but my will doesn’t stop me from doing it.
Short tempered. To an extreme at times, I tend to snap quite easily.
Blame. The first thing I do in a situation is to put the blame on someone else. It always seems to work.

  • Define in your own words the following key traits:
    • Courage: To acknowledge fear and to challenge it.
    • Loyalty: To stay true to one idea, person, etc… even under pressure.
    • Intelligence: Ability to recognize your own ignorance.
    • Ambition: An extremely long interest-span and the determination to get what you want by any methods possible.

  • Name : Yuan
  • Age: 15
  • What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? (This question is optional for those who feel they just DO NOT fit in a house. Please explain WHY.)
Hufflepuff, I’m just plainly not loyal.

  • Where did you find out about us?
Advertised in another community. Sorry I forgot which one though.
