  • What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why? Hmm, so many choices, but I think I’d go with Apothecary worker/herb specialist. I’d like to actually make what they sell. I’m interested in potion making and I bet I’d have a real knack for it. It would probably be my best class at Hogwarts. Not only is it a class of high interest, but I also remember things fairly easily from the lessons and text. Remember in book six? (I’m going to try to phrase this spoiler-free just in case there are any stranglers, so forgive me if this sounds hard to follow or lame in my phrasing. Hopefully you’ll all know what I’m referring to though if you read it.) When that thing came up that Snape had said in a lesson in book one, I knew what the answer was going to be way before they even said anything because I knew what Snape had said in that first lesson so I was able to put two and two together right away… Also precision is key here so you don’t make a mess of things (I highly agree that there is an art form in potion making), and details are valuably important. Thus in wanting things to be perfect I would be very detail oriented and precise. Then also herbs and things are needed to make potions and herblore is something that would be fascinating to study in general anyway. And so it would be great to be able to use my knowledge and skill for something I enjoy.

  • If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why? Well if it isn’t obvious enough by the first question heh, I’d have to say Potions. It’s by far my favourite class, and as I said I’d be very good at it.

  • This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not? No. A) As Dumbledore even said, it is not something to be taken lightly, B) Something like that would be too time consuming. I’d want more time to devote to my studies and outside interests, and C) besides, it would be fun watching and cheering on your fellow schoolmate. Or schoolmates if something strange happened again like it did in GOF.

  • If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why? A sea otter; I have affinity for water creatures, and they just happen to be my totem animal. Some reasoning behind this being for example, they give us understanding of our childlike selves and ask those of you who may not be, to rediscover your playful side. There’s of course a time for seriousness, but playfulness is also important. Also due to us humans messing things up for them in the first place, they are at the stage of gradually learning to trust again after we’ve hurt them. That’s me, I can be optimistic and lighthearted, but if ever betrayed it’s going to take some time to regain my trust again.

  • If you could be written into any HP Series book as a new character, which book would it be, and who would your character be? Why did you choose that book/character? I’d be in the first book as myself, and I’d continue on until book seven. I’d love to see myself as a Hogwarts student, and it would be interesting to see how I’d grow and change and what I’d learn and achieve in seven years.

  • What is your favorite magical spell/charm? Why? Lumos. Okay, I know it’s common, but it was the very first one I ever learned. But hey at least we’ll always have plenty of light heh.

  • Name three reasons why you would like to be sorted into each House.

    Okay, so I somehow accidentally got carried away and put four reasons. Least it will give you guys a bit more information to go on, eh?

    Gryffindor: I’m a dreamer, I can be a bit impulsive, I also value my freedom and I am passionately devoted to what’s important to me.
    Ravenclaw: I’m intelligent, I like acquiring knowledge, I have a strong sense of curiosity and I am also very organized.
    Slytherin: I can have a bit of a dark side, sometimes I don’t really have much patience, it would be cool to have Snape as my head of house, and if ever I’m in a sulky mood people would generally leave me alone.
    Hufflepuff:
    *Edit - I don't really know a whole lot about you and I need more understanding about you guys, but I'm learning.
    But hmm, let's see what few things I know… Reasons why I want to be in Hufflepuff?
    *Sprout is the head of house, so that’s good for Herbology
    *The most well known Hufflepuff is Cedric Digory
    *After recent events I’m really seeing how well you all stick together, and that’s a refreshing attitude
    *I have a friend in Hufflepuff. It could be fun to hang out together in the common room.

  • You've received your O.W.L results. What are your results? (You have to have failed or done poorly in at least one subject)

    Ancient Runes - E (Discerning a language? Well, I got pretty good grades in Spanish back in High School. If I didn’t get an E it would at least be an A.)

    Arithmancy - D (Math is just bad for me, really, really awful. It’s been known to cause grade point averages to fall. Though I didn’t give myself a Troll because even though I just got done saying Math was awful, when I was failing it was usually like 50/50.)

    Astronomy - E (Just a fascinating class. If I pay attention and study I could do well.)

    Care of Magical Creatures - A (This would be an interesting class, but knowing Hagrid I’d be worried about some of the animals we were studying sometimes. I’d have to be safety conscious more than worrying about my grades, otherwise I might do a bit better with an E.)

    Charms - E (Swish and flick, accio! Got it.)

    Defense Against the Dark Arts - A (An obvious necessary class. I would study so I wouldn’t fail. Otherwise without study this one may be difficult for me. However if I study hard I’d get at least an A, or maybe even an E depending on things.)

    Divination - O (Another interesting class. Learning about astrology and tarot reading is something that I’ve always found fascinating.)

    Herbology - O (A class I need to do well in for my chosen occupation. A good thing herblore has always fascinated me.)

    History of Magic - A (Again we can relate this to muggle History like what we took back in High School. That’s around what I would’ve gotten.)

    Muggle Studies - E (Well, I can’t be sure, but I think if I were in the HP world I might muggle-born, or at least a half-blood, so either way I’d already be familiar with muggles from either my mum or my dad.)

    Potions - O (As was stated earlier, this is my favourite class, and it just kind of comes naturally to me. I really think it would be my forte at Hogwarts.)

    Transfiguration - A (Yet one more that could be either an A or an E maybe depending on studying and things, etc.)

  • If you could have any superpower - but only ONE - what would it be? Telekinetics. It would be cool to be able to move things with your mind. Don’t feel like going across the room to pick up your wand? Not a problem. You can move it to your hand just from where you’re sitting… although right now I’m sick so a part of me really wants to say healing powers too heh. It’s annoying that I can’t do all the things that I could before I felt ill.
    Of course hypothetically speaking if one was really a witch or wizard then those “superpowers” are just technically things that you would learn. I know it’s not the same thing, but Telekinetics is kind of like a summoning charm. And healing “powers” is kind of like making a healing potion. They all achieve the same end result.

  • What HP character do you identify with most and why? Hmm, one of two. Either, Hermione because we’re both smart (though she’s probably smarter no doubt heh), we can be disapproving if someone does something we disagree with, and we’re both kind of impatient. Or else Ginny because she’s sort of dreamy, and while that is Luna too, I still say Ginny because not only that, but in Chamber of Secrets that could’ve been me writing back and forth to Tom Riddle in his diary if I was feeling lonely like I didn’t have any friends I could talk to about what was going on.

  • What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised? I would see myself living my dream and my family being proud of me for my accomplishments. Basically right now I’m more or less the black sheep in my family and I get left in the dark about a lot of things. And I have been flat out told by some of them that I am such a disappointment to them. So yeah I’d really like to see the exact opposite of the ways things are concerning people who are supposed to love me even if just because they’re “family”, but if not for that thing of actually being related I don’t think they’d care if they never even knew me.

  • If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it? Hopefully I wouldn’t spend all of it. A million dollars is a lot of money so hopefully a good majority of it would be saved just because you never know when you might need it.

  • Which HP book is your favorite and why? Hmm, perhaps Goblet of Fire. I know it’s at least the freshest in my mind because of the movie. And it made me really want to read it again because of how much I enjoyed it. I think it was maybe probably because it was such a turning point in the series. We had a major death, and Voldemort came back.

  • Which HP book is your least favorite and why? I don’t know if I can answer this just because of how much I love the series. None of the books are bad.

  • What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now? When I was younger I was always wanted to be a famous actress. This still hasn’t changed. It’s still my dream job. A job that’s a pipe-dream job, but nonetheless still a dream. It’s just something that struck me when I was very young running around my house playing games of pretend and putting on little plays, and then I did actual performance acting in school and then it was too late, I was hooked.

  • If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it? A spell that would make it possible for there to be a day more like it was when I was growing up. Not to necessarily make myself a kid again (though that might be cool for a little while too heh), but so the world could be the way it was back then. Kind of like a glimpse back to the past. Of course a witch or wizard would have to be given limits how many times they could do this spell or else some people might never live in the present… And we could call it nostalgium.

  • If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus? My boggart would be a rat because I’ve always been terrified of them, and then say “Riddikulus” and it turns into a Disney or Muppet version of itself since those are rather comical.

  • What do you look for in a friend? Someone who is understanding because having someone accept you for being yourself is important. Even if you or they do something that the other doesn’t quite comprehend, you still accept and love one another anyway.

  • What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish? Accomplishing my dream would be a pretty big thing. Achieving it after so many years would be very fulfilling.

  • What trait most annoys you about other people? Okay it may not be THEE most annoying thing, but it’s all I can think of right now. When people are sheep and can’t make up their minds for themselves. It’s one thing if you need help reaching a decision or to change your mind, but make sure you believe what you’re saying and you’re not just saying it because nearly everyone else is.

  • What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?

    * I have a great imagination
    * I have a good sense of humour
    * Well organized
    * I’m theatrical
    * I have a very youthful quality (Much like that of Peter Pan. Who wants to grow-up completely huh? Not me.)

  • What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?

    * Holding onto grudges sometimes
    * Impatience
    * Jealously
    * The guilt which my mother holds me under
    * Sometimes worrying when there really is no need

  • Define in your own words the following key traits:
    • Courage: Bravery
    • Loyalty: Sticking with someone for better or for worse, through thick and thin
    • Intelligence: Being smart, but not necessarily always book smart
    • Ambition: The drive to achieve something

  • Name: Amy
  • Age: 25
  • What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? (This question is optional for those who feel they just DO NOT fit in a house. Please explain WHY.) *Edit - Okay, this DID say Hufflepuff on it before, but dear Puffs I didn’t really mean all that was said. You’re not bland or boring, I just need to gain some more understanding of your house. I just didn’t know what made you special. But now I see you’re loyal, united and true. I DO apologize for these misunderstandings before.

  • Where did you find out about us? My friend little_nimue
    *Edit - Who is ironically a Hufflepuff. (So see, nothing really wrong with you guys. It really is all about just needing to gain understanding of what you are really all about... you could even vote that way if you saw something. You know, give me more insight on the things I'm not seeing myself.)
